Head up to the Far North on a special un-guided, do-it-yourself housekeeping fishing expedition in the NWT!

Located 250 airmiles directly north of Stoney Rapids, Saskatchewan - this outpost may be one the most remote fishing spots on planet earth!  The comfortable tent basecamp is nestled in a sheltered sandy 'esker' along the shores of 35 mile long by 20 mile wide Whitefish Lake - the headwaters of the Thelon River.

Only a short boat ride from the camp will bring you to the depths of  huge Whitefish Lake, and world-class trophy lake trout fishing.  The Thelon River outlet is also only a reachable boat trip further on for incredible Arctic grayling fishing with ultra-light or fly rod equipment.  The nearby ponds and small lakes often have BIG northern pike!

At this remote tundra lake you can fish all you want for world-class lake trout and arctic grayling (catch & release except for which you eat). Depending on the time of summer, you will likely see musk-oxen, wolves or migrating caribou! 

For sleeping accommodations, we offer a 14' x 16' Weatherport vinyl Quonset hut. The insulated Quonset can be heated is seperated into two seperate bedrooms each with 2 beds and foam mattresses, rug, gas lanterns, and are heated with propane catalytic heaters. 

we provide aluminum boats with 15 HP Yamaha motors and 35 gallons of mixed gas for each boat; a satellite telephone; marked lake charts. There is also a canoe & paddles on site for evening fly fishing in the camp bay. 

HOUSEKEEPING:  These are self-guided, do-your-own-cooking packages. We supply the 250 airmile charter flight from Stoney Rapids, Sasktachewan to the outpost; a main kitchen & dining shack; all your pre-packaged meals with all the kitchen & cookware needed to prepare the food; a first aid kit; plus Quonset sleeping huts with heaters and mattresses. You and your party will alone be based from this protected camp located at one of the most remote locations in North America, after which we will pick you up by float aircraft and return you back to Stoney Rapids.
