Let us tell you about Arctic Trophy fishing -

'Expedition Style'...

Can you imagine fishing in world-class waters at one of the most remote areas on earth?  Or, dropping your line into crystal-clear lakes and streams that have never been fished before by man?  Or, preparing shore lunch of freshly caught lake trout, Arctic grayling or Northern Pike next to grazing herds of wild musk-oxen or caribou?  That is precisely the experience that Great Canadian Fishing Adventures has to offer you...

It just doesn't get any better than this!

The Canadian Arctic is famous the world over as the very best freshwater fishing reserve in the world! Trophy-class lake trout, Arctic grayling, great northern pike & Arctic char abound, just awaiting the line of the adventurous angler!

This 43 lb lake trout caught in Thelon river on #4 lb test line!

35 lb laker on upper thelon - most trout are caught in shallow waters levels ranging from 5-20 ft deep!

5 lb Arctic grayling caught on upper Thelon River - the fisheries department considers the Thelon to be the best grayling habitat in the Arctic!

(On this page - and throughout this website - placing the cursor over the photos will bring pop-up boxes that tell more of the story!)

The bountiful, pristine waters of the mainland Arctic are extremely sensitive to fishing pressure due to the cold water and its effect on the growth rates and productivity. Most quality lodges have strict 'trophy only' or total 'catch & release' management restrictions...

36 lb northern pike released - big pike like this can be caught in the smaller and warmer lakes nearby

#43 lb trout on upper Thelon!

We carry our fish management a step further than the rest with a new alternative: Trophy fishing - Expedition Style.  We penetrate some of the most remote and un-fished waters of the Arctic.  We utilize float aircraft boats rigged for trophy fishing and Arctic weather conditions, and comfortable camps and lodge locations.

Twin otter aircraft brining a group of fishermen to the upper Thelon main camp - a 236 airmile flight from Yellowknife to the most remote region on the mainland Arctic!

Our guided trip offer 16-18 ft aluminum boats powered by 50-60 hp Yamaha motors - rigs suitable for the big Arctic waters!

We have been operating low-volume / high service quality trophy fishing trips in the Arctic since 1976.  By the virtue of that 32 years of experience, and by continual exploration of new waters, bays & island drop-offs of our immense Arctic lakes; we widely disperse the fishing pressure, and offer you one of the very best chances at that huge trophy!

Simply - the Best!
