Curious Lone Tundra Wolf

This photo of a lone tundra wolf was taken by return client James Phelan while attending one of our 2013 wildlife expeditions
on the remote Ungava barrens of Nunavik in Canada's Far North.
Wild wolves remain one of the most elusive and difficult
of wild animals to see and photograph. The wolves of the far north are inextricably linked to the barrenground caribou migrations
which often change their routes to and from the calving grounds. Thus the caribou migratory trails used can vary from one season
to the next, and so do the optimum wolf den sites.
