Flash from the Past: this remarkakable photo of a barrenground caribou bull in winter pelage with Dehavilland beaver aircraft C-FZVR piloted by wildlife guide 'Tundra Tom' taxing in from landing nearby during the autumn barrenlands colour peak was taken by the late renowned professional photographer Galen Rowell while attending our special 'Dance with Caribou' trips in Canada's Far North in 1999. From 1997 to 2000, Galen Rowell - often accompanied by his wife Barbara - attended three and was planning his fourth wildlife expedition to the barrenlands of the Candian North with us - photos from which ended up in several of his tabletop publications including 'The Living Planet', 'North America the Beautiful'; and 'Galen Rowell's Inner Game of Outdoor Photography'.
